Kibale National Park on the other hand is referred to as the primate’s capital of the world. It is the best place to spot chimpanzees anywhere. The chances of seeing chimps are almost 100%. While tracking the chimps, you are bound to encounter over 7 other species of primates, buffaloes, elephants, forest hogs and the occasional lion. Some of the most enchanting crater lakes and birding spots are found in Kibale National Park. The Bigodi wetlands sanctuary is known as one of the top birding places in Uganda. Uganda is host to half of the remaining population of mountain gorillas in the wild.

Bwindi Impenetrable national park has most of the primates and is arguably the best place to go and see the gorillas. Gorilla permits costs $800 at the moment  Apart from gorillas, Bwindi stands outs because of its sheer biodiversity. Bwindi is a UNESCO World heritage site. Bwindi is the only park where you can spot both chimpanzees and gorillas. Unfortunately, the chimp communities in Bwindi aren’t open to tracking but you can be lucky to meet them while looking for the gorillas. Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary:

  • En route to Murchison Falls, you’ll make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

  • After the visit, continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park.

Evening:

Day 2: Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
