Some of the most enchanting crater lakes and birding spots are found in Kibale National Park. The Bigodi wetlands sanctuary is known as one of the top birding places in Uganda. Uganda is host to half of the remaining population of mountain gorillas in the wild.
Bwindi Impenetrable national park has most of the primates and is arguably the best place to go and see the gorillas. Gorilla permits costs $800 at the moment Apart from gorillas, Bwindi stands outs because of its sheer biodiversity. Bwindi is a UNESCO World heritage site. Bwindi is the only park where you can spot both chimpanzees and gorillas.
