🗓️ Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi (or Mgahinga)
Pick-up Location: Entebbe International Airport (Uganda) or Kigali International Airport (Rwanda)
Activities:
Meet your guide/driver and depart for Bwindi/Mgahinga NP.
Scenic drive through rolling hills, villages, and countryside.
Stopovers at the Equator (Uganda route) or Genocide Memorial (Rwanda route).
Check-in at your lodge.
Accommodation: Mid-range or luxury lodge near the park.
Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Start Time: Early breakfast, then transfer to the park headquarters by 7:00 AM.
Activities:
Briefing by park rangers on gorilla trekking rules and etiquette.
Begin your trek in search of a gorilla family (1–6 hours depending on location).
Spend 1 magical hour observing gorillas: watching them feed, play, and interact.
Return to base, receive a trekking certificate.
Optional: Community walk, Batwa cultural experience, or forest nature walk.
Accommodation: Same lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner
Day 3: Return Journey / Departure
Activities:
Breakfast at the lodge.
Check out and begin your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe (Uganda) or Kigali (Rwanda).
Airport drop-off for your international flight or continuation of your trip.
