🗓️ Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi (or Mgahinga)

  • Pick-up Location: Entebbe International Airport (Uganda) or Kigali International Airport (Rwanda)

  • Activities:

    • Meet your guide/driver and depart for Bwindi/Mgahinga NP.

    • Scenic drive through rolling hills, villages, and countryside.

    • Stopovers at the Equator (Uganda route) or Genocide Memorial (Rwanda route).

    • Check-in at your lodge.

  • Accommodation: Mid-range or luxury lodge near the park.

  • Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

  • Start Time: Early breakfast, then transfer to the park headquarters by 7:00 AM.

  • Activities:

    • Briefing by park rangers on gorilla trekking rules and etiquette.

    • Begin your trek in search of a gorilla family (1–6 hours depending on location).

    • Spend 1 magical hour observing gorillas: watching them feed, play, and interact.

    • Return to base, receive a trekking certificate.

    • Optional: Community walk, Batwa cultural experience, or forest nature walk.

  • Accommodation: Same lodge

  • Meal Plan: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Return Journey / Departure

  • Activities:

    • Breakfast at the lodge.

    • Check out and begin your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe (Uganda) or Kigali (Rwanda).

    • Airport drop-off for your international flight or continuation of your trip.

  • Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
