Day by Day Activities.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kibale National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or Kampala, you’ll be greeted by your guide and embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park. The journey offers an opportunity to take in the beautiful landscapes of Uganda, including tea plantations and small villages. After checking into your lodge near the park, you can relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an afternoon nature walk or take in a cultural experience to learn about the local communities.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, your day begins with a briefing from experienced guides at the park headquarters. You’ll then set off on a guided trek into Kibale Forest to track the chimpanzees. Kibale is home to one of the highest concentrations of chimpanzees in East Africa, offering a great chance of sighting these primates. As you navigate the forest, you may encounter other wildlife, such as various monkey species and birdlife.

Once you locate a chimpanzee community, you’ll have the opportunity to observe them up close for an hour, witnessing their behavior, communication, and interactions in their natural habitat. After your tracking experience, you can return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you may choose to visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birdwatching or take part in a cultural tour to interact with local communities.

Day 3: Return Journey

After breakfast at your lodge, you’ll check out and begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, you can stop for lunch and enjoy more picturesque views of the Ugandan countryside. Upon reaching your destination, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location or the airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your memorable 3-day chimpanzee tracking safari in Uganda.
