

4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Experience from Kigali.

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport by a professional Kenlink Tours driver-guide. After a short safari briefing, you will begin a scenic drive northwards through Rwanda’s rolling hills toward the Cyanika or Katuna border.
After completing immigration formalities, you will enter Uganda and continue your journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, depending on gorilla permit availability. The drive offers breathtaking views of terraced hillsides, local villages, and lush countryside.
You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon or early evening. After check-in, relax and enjoy dinner while preparing for the next day’s life-changing gorilla trekking experience.

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will be assigned to a gorilla family and guided into the forest in small groups.
The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but every step through the dense rainforest is part of the adventure. Once the gorillas are found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they feed, groom, and interact in their natural habitat. This close encounter is often described as one of the most emotional and profound wildlife experiences on Earth.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before beginning your drive to Mbarara, the largest town in western Uganda. The journey takes you through scenic highlands and Ankole cattle country.
Arrive in the evening and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight rest.

After breakfast, you will depart Mbarara and begin your journey to Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant capital city. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, roadside markets, and lively trading centers, offering a glimpse into daily Ugandan life.
You will have a stop at the Equator Line for photos and a short break before continuing toward Kampala. Lunch will be enjoyed en route or upon arrival in the city.
In the evening, you will attend a lively cultural performance featuring traditional music and dances, including energetic drum performances inspired by the famous Gishora royal drumming traditions of the region. These performances showcase Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Congo rich cultural diversity and are a joyful and memorable way to end your safari.
After the show, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, you may choose to relax at the hotel or enjoy an optional Kampala city tour. This guided excursion can include visits to the Kasubi Tombs, Gaddafi Mosque, Namirembe Cathedral, local craft markets, and other cultural landmarks depending on your interests and departure schedule.
At the appropriate time, your driver will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight, marking the end of your incredible gorilla and cultural safari with Kenlink Tours.
