Welcome to your 7-day Gorilla and Wildlife Safari in Uganda! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your Kenlink Tours representative will transfer you to Via Via Guest House for an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a half-day excursion to Mabamba Shoebill Bay for a unique bird-watching experience, including the rare shoebill and other fascinating bird species. This gentle introduction to Uganda’s wildlife will give you a glimpse of the natural wonders that lie ahead.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 7-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will stop in Fort Portal for lunch, and then continue through the Rift Valley, with the majestic Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. Upon reaching Kasese, you may visit Lake Katwe, known for its traditional salt mining practiced since the 16th century. Witness the local communities working under the equatorial sun, harvesting salt from its milky waters.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi Track, searching for lions, hyenas, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, and Uganda kob. In the afternoon, embark on a three-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you can observe lions, leopards, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a rich variety of birds converging along the waters. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Rise early for breakfast before heading to the gorilla trekking briefing. With packed lunch in hand, accompany your guide through dense rainforest, following the mountain gorillas’ tracks. Spend an incredible hour observing the silverback and his family in their natural habitat. After this life-changing encounter, return to the trailhead to receive your gorilla trekking certificate. You will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park, stopping in Mbarara town for lunch. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive to explore the park’s rich wildlife, including impalas, Burchell’s zebra, elands, giraffes, and various antelope species.
