3 Days Best of Uganda Gorilla Safari. The 3 Days Best of Uganda Gorilla Safari is a short but memorable adventure designed for travelers who want to experience Uganda’s most treasured wildlife—the endangered mountain gorillas. This trip takes you deep into the tropical rainforests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to half of the world’s remaining gorilla population.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi. The journey takes approximately 8–9 hours, but it is filled with breathtaking landscapes, rolling hills, and lush green countryside. You will stop at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe for photos and enjoy a hearty lunch en route. In the evening, you will arrive at Bwindi, check in to your lodge, and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, you head to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Here, you will learn trekking guidelines before setting out into the dense forest. Gorilla trekking can take between 2 to 7 hours, depending on the gorilla family’s location, but every step through the thick vegetation brings you closer to a life-changing encounter.

When you finally meet the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing them as they feed, groom, and interact. This intimate wildlife experience is one of the most unforgettable moments in Africa. After trekking, you return to the lodge for relaxation and, if time permits, a cultural visit to the local Batwa community.

Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
