Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – The Land of a Thousand Hills

Your adventure begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant and clean capital. Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide who will brief you about the journey ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city tour to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, or art galleries that showcase Rwanda’s resilience and creativity.

In the evening, relax at your hotel and prepare for your scenic drive to Uganda the following day.

Day 2: Drive from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive through Rwanda’s rolling green hills and rural countryside toward Cyanika Border Post, crossing into Uganda. Once you enter Uganda, the terrain transforms into lush mountains and misty valleys that announce your arrival in the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Enjoy several scenic stops for photography and lunch en route. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, offering you a chance to soak in the natural beauty and local life along the way.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

The highlight of your safari begins early today! After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. With your experienced ranger guide, venture deep into the forest — a magical world of towering trees, lush ferns, and the sound of tropical birds.

The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family. Once you find them, spend a precious hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat — a truly life-changing encounter.
