14-Day Uganda & Rwanda Adventure Itinerary. This 14-day mid-range safari combines the best primate encounters, thrilling game drives, boat safaris, and cultural experiences across Uganda and Rwanda. You’ll enjoy gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, golden monkey trekking, and unique cultural visits.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Kampala City Stay

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet your guide, and transfer to Kampala for overnight. If time allows, explore local markets or take a short city tour.

Day 2: Kampala – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls NP

Depart early for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Proceed to the park for an evening game drive. Overnight at a mid-range lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Safari in Murchison Falls

Enjoy a morning game drive, spotting lions, elephants, and giraffes. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls and hike to the top for stunning views.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest via Scenic Route

Drive south to Kibale National Park, famous for primates. En route, enjoy the scenic landscapes and crater lakes. Overnight in a lodge near the park.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Start your day with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. In the afternoon, take a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland for birdwatching and cultural encounters.

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP, home to diverse wildlife. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and buffaloes.

Day 7: Game Drive & Ishasha Sector

Take an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Later, head to the Ishasha sector, known for tree-climbing lions, before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today is the highlight of your safari – gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest. Spend an hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Afternoon at leisure or visit a local Batwa community for cultural interaction.

Day 9: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a stunning crater lake. Enjoy canoe rides, cultural visits, and relaxation.

Day 10: Cross to Rwanda – Kigali City Tour

Drive to Kigali, Rwanda’s capital. Take a Kigali city tour, visiting the Genocide Memorial, local markets, and cultural sites. Overnight in Kigali.

Day 11: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

Head to Volcanoes National Park, the base for golden monkey trekking. Enjoy scenic views and optional cultural experiences like a Rwandan village visit.

Day 12: Golden Monkey Trekking

Spend the morning tracking golden monkeys in Volcanoes NP. Afternoon at leisure or explore the nearby Musanze caves and local communities.

Day 13: Optional Kigali Exploration or Akagera NP Day Trip

Choose to relax in Kigali or take an optional excursion to Akagera National Park for a game drive and boat safari.

Day 14: Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a final Kigali tour or shopping before airport transfer.
