Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Kenlink Tours representative who will brief you about your upcoming safari. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic journey southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home of half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive takes about 8–9 hours, but it’s filled with incredible scenery — rolling hills, banana plantations, tea estates, and rural villages.
You’ll stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a fun water experiment before continuing to Mbarara for lunch. As you approach Bwindi, the cool air and misty mountains welcome you to one of Africa’s most biodiverse rainforests.

Today is the highlight of your safari — mountain gorilla trekking! After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. You’ll be assigned a gorilla family and a ranger guide to lead you into the dense forest.
Trekking can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements. The moment you find them, you’ll spend one full hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat — a life-changing experience filled with awe and emotion.
After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation. You may also take an optional visit to the Batwa community, where you’ll learn about the traditional forest life and culture of Uganda’s indigenous people.
