This immersive safari offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and relaxation.

 

Day By Day Activities

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an 8 a.m. pickup from your Nairobi hotel, start your journey to Maasai Mara. Enjoy a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a stunning view of the rift valley floor and semi-active volcanoes like Mt. Longonot, Suswa, and Margret. Continue your drive to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch. After check-in and a midday meal, embark on a 4 p.m. evening game drive for about two hours. Witness the transition of nocturnal hunters starting their evening activities, along with sightings of zebras and antelopes. Capture the serene sunset before returning to the camp for a buffet dinner and a relaxing night.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve

Begin the day with breakfast at 6:30 a.m., followed by a 7 a.m. departure for a full day of game viewing. Explore Maasai Mara’s vast landscape in search of the Big Five, hippos, and Nile crocodiles. Enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of a croton tree with views of the park’s extensive terrain. Witness the great migration, a remarkable event featuring millions of wildebeest and zebra migrating from the Serengeti in Tanzania. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures follow closely behind.

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, then check out and proceed to Lake Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Afterward, embark on an afternoon game drive, where you can spot endangered white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and flamingos (which may also be seen in large numbers in Amboseli National Park the following day).

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

After an early 6 a.m. breakfast, check out and drive to Amboseli National Park via the trans-African highway. Expect an 8-hour car ride with restroom breaks along the way. Arrive and check in at AA Lodge Amboseli for lunch and a short rest. At 3:30 p.m., embark on an afternoon game drive to spot the park’s famous elephant residents, along with predators and prey like zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and hippos, all with the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park Full Day

After breakfast at the lodge, spend the entire day exploring Amboseli National Park. Carry a packed lunch as you search for the park’s renowned residents, including predators and their prey such as zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and hippos. Enjoy stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro as you take in the beauty of the landscape. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park

After a 6:30 a.m. breakfast at the lodge, depart for Tsavo West National Park, enjoying a game drive en route. Arrive in time for lunch at Kilaguni Serena Lodge. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive in the park. Pass through the Shetani Lava flow with a brief stop to admire the lava cones and barren landscape. Enter Tsavo West via the Chyulu gate and visit Mzima Springs to see the hippo sanctuary and, if you’re lucky, spot the endangered black rhino.

Day 7: Tsavo West to Diani

Enjoy an early morning breakfast at 6 a.m. and check out, embarking on a game drive as you exit the park. Continue your journey to Diani with lunch en route. Arrive in Diani in the late afternoon.

Days 8 & 9: Full Day Relaxation

Day 10: Depart to Nairobi
