Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide. After a short briefing, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt for an afternoon visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or a tranquil sunset walk along the shores of Lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight stay in Entebbe.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. En route, you’ll visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walking safari to track the endangered white rhinos. Enjoy lunch en route before continuing to the park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy an evening at leisure, soaking in views of the savannah and the Nile River.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari to the Falls

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and various antelope species. After lunch, embark on a thrilling boat cruise along the Nile River, offering opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds. The cruise culminates at the base of the thunderous Murchison Falls, where you can hike up for panoramic views.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, drive southwards to Kibale National Park, often referred to as the “Primate Capital of the World.” Enjoy scenic views of the Albertine Rift Valley, tea plantations, and picturesque villages along the way. Arrive in the late afternoon for check-in at your lodge and an optional nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its birdlife and primates.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk

Today, set out for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale’s lush forest. Track habituated chimpanzee families as they swing through the treetops, feed, and interact. The forest is also home to other primates like colobus monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys. After lunch, take a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, famous for its rich birdlife and wetland vegetation.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah park known for its stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. Along the way, you’ll pass the Rwenzori Mountains and crater lakes. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge and settle in for the evening.

Day 7: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where lions, leopards, elephants, and Uganda kobs roam. After lunch, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lakes Edward and George. The channel is renowned for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds, offering excellent photography opportunities.

Day 8: Ishasha Sector and Transfer to Bwindi

Today you’ll drive through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. Game viewing here also includes herds of buffalo, elephants, and antelope. After your game drive, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check into your lodge, nestled amidst the misty hills of Bwindi, and relax in preparation for tomorrow’s trek.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

The highlight of your safari awaits — a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi’s dense rainforest. After a briefing by park rangers, set off in small groups to track one of the habituated gorilla families. Trekking can take 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing them as they play, feed, and care for their young. After this awe-inspiring encounter, return to your lodge for relaxation and reflection.

Day 10: Return to Entebbe and Departure

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe via Kampala, with stops for lunch and souvenir shopping.
