Bwindi is home to over 400 mountain gorillas, spread across multiple habituated families, offering more chances to interact with these majestic creatures. On the other hand, Mgahinga is smaller and less visited, offering a more exclusive, off-the-beaten-path experience. Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide.
Depending on your preference, you will take a domestic flight or embark on an 8-9 hour scenic road trip to Bwindi.
The drive offers breathtaking views of Uganda’s rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages.
Stop at the Equator for photos and a brief geographical demonstration.
Arrive at Bwindi in the evening and check in at your luxury, mid-range, or budget lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay in preparation for the trekking adventure.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking Experience
Have an early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.
Receive a gorilla trekking permit and be assigned to a gorilla family.
Begin your trek through the dense rainforests of Bwindi, which can take 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas.
Once you find the gorillas, you will have one magical hour to observe them, take photos, and witness their interactions.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Optional afternoon activities: Batwa cultural experience, nature walk, or visit a community project.
Enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking Experience
After breakfast, you will head back to the park headquarters for another briefing.
You will be assigned a different gorilla family, offering a new experience and perspective.

Return to the lodge for lunch and leisure.

Day 4: Return to Entebbe – Departure
Have an early breakfast and begin your journey back to Entebbe via road (8-9 hours) or a domestic flight.
If traveling by road, stop at the Equator for a final photo opportunity and souvenir shopping.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight.
