Day by day activities

Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your adventure begins as our guide picks you up and transfers you to Entebbe Airport for your flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You’ll land at either Kihihi Airstrip (serving the northern and eastern parts of Bwindi) or Kisoro Airstrip (for the southern region). Upon arrival, our guide will transfer you by road to your chosen lodge. You can choose to fly in the morning or afternoon, with morning flights departing Entebbe at 7:45 am and afternoon flights at 3:30 pm. For the southern part of Bwindi, only a morning flight is available, departing at 7:45 am due to strong winds in the area. The flight duration is approximately one to one and a half hours, depending on the routing.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your day with an early breakfast and head to the Park headquarters for registration at 7:45 am. After a briefing on gorilla tracking etiquette, you’ll embark on an unforgettable trek through thick undergrowth, guided by experienced trackers. The trek can take from half an hour to most of the day, depending on the location of the gorillas. The experience of encountering these majestic, endangered creatures in their natural habitat is truly extraordinary.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. If time permits, you’ll embark on an evening game drive to explore the park’s diverse wildlife.

Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Begin your day with a game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you’ll search for wildlife you may have missed earlier. After lunch, set off on a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, known for having the world’s highest concentration of hippos. The cruise offers excellent views of waterbirds, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and other wildlife that frequent the channel. You’ll also visit fishing villages within the park, providing insight into how local communities live in harmony with nature.

Day 5: Fly Back to Entebbe

Following breakfast, you’ll transfer to Mweya or Kasese Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. If on a morning flight, you’ll head straight to the airstrip. For those with an afternoon flight, you have the option of a game drive or an optional chimpanzee walk in Kyambura Gorge before flying out. From Entebbe, you can either catch your connecting flight or extend your stay to explore more of Uganda.
