Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Kenlink Tours representative will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala. Enjoy a relaxed evening and a delicious dinner as you prepare for your adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, known for its dense tropical forest and diverse primate population. The journey takes about 5-6 hours, passing through beautiful countryside and lush tea plantations. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading into Kibale’s forest for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. Follow experienced guides who will lead you to habituated chimpanzee groups. Observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat, learning about their behavior and social structure. After tracking, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you can explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary or visit a local community.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, set out on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular safari destination. The drive takes around 3-4 hours and offers opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

Day 5: Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your day with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you can encounter elephants, lions, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Explore different areas of the park, such as the Kasenyi Plains and Ishasha Sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can opt for another game drive or relax at your accommodation.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you’ll leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. The journey takes around 4-5 hours and includes beautiful views of the Kigezi highlands. Arrive at your lodge and relax in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your day early with breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters before embarking on your gorilla trekking experience. Follow experienced guides through the dense forest, tracking the endangered mountain gorillas. Spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent creatures up close in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can take a community walk or explore the surroundings.

Day 8: Departure from Entebbe

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Entebbe. The drive takes around 8-9 hours, offering opportunities to take in the scenic landscapes one last time. Upon arrival in Entebbe, a Kenlink Tours representative will drop you off at the airport for your departure flight.
