This 1-day gorilla trekking Uganda tour is designed for travelers with limited time but a strong desire to encounter mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Since the tour involves a border crossing, expect an early morning start to ensure a smooth experience.

Your day begins with an early breakfast before meeting your Kenlink Tours guide. Ensure you have packed snacks and bottled water, as the trek can be physically demanding. The journey from Kigali, Rwanda, or Kisoro, Uganda, takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, passing through the Katuna or Chanika border into Kabale or Kisoro Town, before arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters for a 7:00 AM briefing on gorilla trekking rules.

At 8:00 AM, after the briefing, park officials will assign each group of eight trekkers a habituated gorilla family along with an experienced park guide. You will then begin your thrilling trek into the dense rainforest, navigating through steep slopes, thick vegetation, and winding trails in search of these gentle giants. The trek can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find them, you will spend one magical hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and learning about their feeding habits, social interactions, and conservation status.

Along the way, expect to encounter other primates, colorful bird species, and unique flora, including medicinal plants. After the trek, return to the park headquarters to reunite with your guide before beginning the journey back to Kigali or Kisoro, marking the end of your unforgettable 1-day gorilla trekking adventure with Kenlink Tours.
