Day One: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, heading southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The drive offers picturesque views of Uganda’s lush countryside, rolling hills, and small villages. You’ll have several stops along the way, including a break at the equator for photos and a chance to stretch your legs. Enjoy a packed lunch or a meal at a local restaurant en route. Arrive in Bwindi by late afternoon and check into your lodge, where you can unwind and prepare for the next day’s adventure. Dinner will be served, and you can retire early to rest for the exciting gorilla trekking experience.

Day Two: Gorilla Trekking Experience

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and expectations of gorilla trekking. You’ll be assigned to a small group and led by experienced rangers into the dense forest. The trek can vary in duration, ranging from a few hours to a full day, depending on the gorillas’ location. As you navigate through the forest’s thick vegetation and steep terrain, the anticipation builds. Upon encountering a gorilla family, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Day Three: Drive to Kalinzu Forest

After an adventurous gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you’ll be transferred to Kalinzu Forest, located near Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic drive offers stunning views of Uganda’s lush landscapes, rolling hills, and vibrant local communities. Upon arrival at Kalinzu, settle into your accommodation, enjoying the serenity of the forest. The next morning, embark on an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure. As dawn breaks, expert guides will lead you through the forest, home to over 300 chimpanzees. Along the way, you’ll experience the sights and sounds of this rich ecosystem, spotting various wildlife species and birdlife. The day promises an up-close encounter with chimpanzees in their natural habitat, a memorable addition to your safari experience.

Day Four: Chimpanzee Tracking and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Start your day with an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience in Kalinzu Forest, home to a thriving population of over 400 chimpanzees. Early in the morning, expert guides will lead you through the dense forest, where you’ll track these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. Along the way, discover a rich array of flora and fauna, from diverse bird species to other forest animals. The excitement builds as you observe chimpanzees up-close, watching their behaviors and interactions in the wild.

In the afternoon, unwind with a scenic boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Day Five: Return to Kampala
